How to uninstall the cPanel Solr Plugin

Uninstall solr from WHM under cPanel plugins. The cPanel Solar Plugin enables Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) Full-Text Search (FTS) indexing (powered by Apache Solr)), which enables faster search capabilities for IMAP mailboxes. FTS significantly improves the speed and convenience of the search experience for users of iOS®, Microsoft Outlook®, Horde, Roundcube and Mozilla Thunderbird devices.

With WHM

1. Login to WHM as the root user
2. Navigate to: Home »cPanel »Manage Plugins
3. Click the blue button that says: Uninstall “Full Text Search Indexing for IMAP powered by Apache Solr™”

With SSH / Command Line / Terminal

1. Login via SSH or the Terminal feature in WHM as the root user
2. Issue the following command:

/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/uninstall_dovecot_fts
